Your choice, your privacy
Location & Privacy Policy
Sharing your location during signup is optional. You can create your account without using location detection.
How location sharing works
- Location detection starts only after you tick the consent checkbox and select Detect My Location.
- Your browser may ask for location permission. You can deny it or change your browser permission at any time.
- The site uses one location reading to look up an approximate city, region and country. GPS accuracy varies by device and conditions.
- The reverse lookup sends coordinates to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. Review the Nominatim usage policy and OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
Storage and your choice
- Location is not tracked continuously.
- The location reading is saved to your account only if account creation succeeds and the location information is accepted by the site.
- You can leave the checkbox unticked and continue signup without location. If you change your mind before signup, untick the checkbox or use Remove location.
